REGARDLESS to the black man's mass suffering under the rule of the Caucasian race, there is always someone who would like to justify their treatment of the black man and many times it comes from the mouth of the sufferer. The above mentioned Mr. DeRougement's letter was given plenty space in the editorial section of this paper recently to tell his dislike for Mr. Malcolm X's "Truth of Our Slavemasters". Mr. Malcolm X is one of my ministers and followers. Mr. DeRougement desires to defend the white slavemakers of our people by mentioning their medical treatment to some blacks of Africa which was done to enslave them, and not for any love of them. He asks Minister Malcolm to prove that Islam is the original religion of the native African. I say, yes, and all the people who are members of the black nation, according to the meaning of Islam and what the Holy Quran Sharrieff teaches us of Islam. Islam means peace and entire submission to the will of Allah (God), who is the author of Islam. The name Islam was not invented as in the case of other religions. It is the religion of (peace) all the prophets according to the Holy Quran, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus and Muhammad the last. Entire submission to the will of Allah (God), brings us into the peace of Allah and that is the religion of Islam. Yea, whoever submits himself entire to Allah and he is the doer of good to others, he has his reward from his Lord and there is no fear for him, nor shall be grieve" (2:112). "And then set your face upright for religion in the right state, the nature made by Allah in which he has made men". Do we not all love peace for self if not for I others? Further in another place; "Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam (3:18). Peace with God implies complete submission that is Islam, and it is as old as God himself. "They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, except the word, peace, peace" (56:23). Could we imagine Allah (God) giving mankind any other religion but one of peace? "He is, who sent his Apostles with the guidance and the true religion that he may make it overcome the religions, all of them, though the Polytheists may be averse" (6:19). We can't believe that Allah (God) ever had but one religion for mankind. According to the Holy Our-an, Islam was the religion of all the prophets of God so could we imagine a prophet of God bringing us a religion other than peace? Islam is the religion of peace that God offers us in the Bible (Num. 6:26). (Pa. 29:11-85:8), Us. 26:3-32:17). There are many other places in the Bible that prove that Islam, the religion of peace, is mentioned as being the religion of Allah (God). It is the last of the three great religions, Buddhism and Christianity. Christianity is the youngest of the three. The father of the black African tribe went there 50,000 years ago from the tribe of Shabazz and his religion and the whole tribe of Shabazz was none other than Islam. The religion of the father of the white race (Yakub) before his fall was none other than Islam. According to the word of Allah (God) : "This day I have perfected for your religion and completed my favor on you and chose for you Islam as a religion" (5:3).
