For example: if you are sipping some wine and somebody asks you "Why are you drinking wine?" you might respond "Jesus drank wine" and then provide the necessary scriptures to show and prove. To my understanding in the Nation this is unheard of (correct me if I'm wrong)
: My question is in regards to the Nation of Islam under the current leadership of Minister Farrakhan. Or better yet the philosohy as to why the Nation is being led by Minister Farrakhan.
: The Nation of Islam was originally called Allah's Temple of Islam. It was located in Detroit, Michigan. Master Fard Muhammad was the "leader" (I know he was Allah in person, but at the time he was simply the leader of the temple) When he departed he left the Supreme Wisdom lessons, and he left Elijah Muhammad in charge. Elijah Muhammad's job was to spread the teachings of Master Fard Muhammad.
: After Elijah died Wallace came around abandoned the teachings, then later Minister Farrakhan came and supposedly restored the original teachings. But here is what I do not understand. Why does the Nation place so much emphasis on "Allah appeared in the person of Master Fard Muhammad" When Master Fard Muhammads teachings were clearly that Man is God. I can quote (from memory) about 10-15 degrees in the 120 (Supreme Wisdom) that say that Man is God. 1st degree in the 1-10, 1st degree in the 1-14, 3rd degree in the 1-14, 1st degree in the 1-40, 8th degree in the 1-40, 9th degree in the 1-40, 14-16 degree in the 1-40 etc...
: So why doesn't Minister Farrakhan (or the NOI as a whole) place emphasis on the fact that Allah(God) can be found within self? Thats what Master Fard Muhhammad was trying to emphasize. And ya'll hate us 5%ers for calling ourselves gods, but we are the only ones that have the proper understanding of the lessons in the first place. Prove me wrong. and Don't give me any quotes from any of Elijah's books GIVE ME QUOTES FROM THE LESSONS. THE LESSONS ARE THE ONLY THING THAT MASTER FARD MUHAMMAD LEFT!!!!!!!!! I CHALLENGE ANYBODY ON THIS BOARD TO FIND ONE QUOTE IN THE LESSONS THAT SAY OTHERWISE.
: My point is Master Fard Muhammad was trying to get us to realize that we can find god in ourselves. When I see the leadership of the nation switching up directions it reminds me of Moses wandering in the desert for 40 years.

This response to your original post is done in
all humbleness and honesty. To make it as plain
as I can, I must let you know that you are grave-
ly misguided as far as these teachings are concer-
ned. You stated: "And y'all hate us 5%ers for
calling ourselves gods, but we are the only ones
that have the proper understanding of the lessons
in the first place." Emphatically no. That is
ridiculous, brother. This is the mythology that
the NGE/5% Nation has been spreading for years,
even decades, now. You all have been perpetrating
a fraud, most in ignorance, but many in plain old
hard-headed, stiff-necked rebellion.
None of you knew a thing about the knowledge of
self, God, or the devil until The Honorable Elijah
Muhammad was raised and taught by Allah Himself-
Master Fard Muhammad- to teach us this divine wis-
dom. You say that He only left us the Lessons,
but you- and the whole world- must realize that He
left The Messenger, too. You couldn't get to
Allah (the Most High God, or the god in yourself)
without The Honorable Elijah Muhammad. You, and
we all, must understand that: "I AM THE DOOR. I AM
THE GATE." "SEEK THE WAY THROUGH ME." (The Honor-
able Elijah Muhammad). Take it or let it alone.
Though the true believers know that you can't
accept Allah without accepting His Messenger, and
that disbelief in one is disbelief in both, we can
clearly see and understand that so many who claim
to have "knowledge of self" do not truly accept
Allah (in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad) or
His Messenger. The so-called 5%ers are known to
claim that "Fard brought the knowledge, Elijah
brought the wisdom, and The Father (Clarence 13X)
brought the understanding". Pure madness! Do you
think that the One Who authored, let alone brought
The Supreme Wisdom didn't understand what He wrote
Himself?! Take note of how I capitalize certain
personal pronouns ("He","Himself", etc). Why?
Because Master Fard Muhammad is Allah In Person,
the Lord of the Worlds, God-Almighty. This is
where you brothers (most) have become confused or
just outright rebel. You have not SUBMITTED to
the TRUE AND LIVING GOD because you won't bear
witness that OUR SAVIOUR HAS ARRIVED. Plain and
simple. Some of you even dare to believe and
claim that you are the Supreme Being. Don't get
me wrong; The Original Man is the Asiatic Black
Man, the Maker, the Owner, the Cream of the Planet
Earth, God of the Universe. Indeed. But there is
ONE WHO IS SUPREME-THE HOLY ONE, THE SON OF MAN,
THE MESSIAH, THE MAHDI, AND THE CHRIST, and that
PERSON is MASTER FARD MUHAMMAD: "...my God, my
Saviour, and my Deliverer, and your God, your Sav-
iour, and your Deliverer." (The Honorable Elijah
Muhammad, the Last Messenger of Allah). Yes, we
are gods by nature, and the kingdom of god is
within us. We are all Allah. But do any of us
control life, death, or the forces of nature?
When is the last time you made any rain, hail,
snow or earthquakes? If you ever did, I'd surely
like to see it.
So you tell us that you only want proof from the
lessons, and that you "don't want any quotes from any of Elijah's books". Okay, we'll accomodate
your request. As most of the so-called 5%ers do
not possess or have knowledge of the Problem Book
from our Supreme Wisdom, and only claim to have
"120" ( Student Enrollment, Actual Facts, Lost-
Found MUSLIM Lessons #1 and #2, and English Lesson
No.C1), then I'm also sure that it's safe to as-
sume that you do not have the "Instructions" to
the Lessons written by Master Fard Muhammad
Himself. Heed His words:
"The Student must study his assignment, Lesson
#1. Each student should copy the answers of lesson of Minister Elijah Muhammad and study until
the student is able to memorize, by heart, all an-
swers to, of said, Lesson #1."
Further it states:
"Why is Stress made to the Muslims to copy, the
Minister, Elijah Muhammad's answers? The past History shows thst the Almighty Allah sends Pro-
phets and Apostles for the People's guide and ex-
ample, and through THEM [emphasis mine] His Mys-
tery was Revealed. And these who follow the
Apostle would see the light."
There, is that proof enough for you? The scrip-
tures (Holy Qur'an) tells us that the people did
not argue with their Messenger until after know-
ledge came to them. And who brought us this know-
ledge, this MESSAGE TO THE BLACKMAN IN AMERICA?
That's right, bear witness. Why? Because infer-
ior wisdom must submit to superior wisdom. This
is what our Messenger told us.
You can't defile the House of God (your mind and
body) with the devil's liquor, drugs ("natural" or
synthetic), fornication, filth, falsehood and fan-
tasy (t.v., movies, music, etc.) and think that
you will rule the universe. You have to come out
of the devil's world, stand up, clean yourself up,
and SUBMIT to ALLAH- MASTER FARD MUHAMMAD- by FOL-
LOWING HIS MESSENGER-THE HONORABLE ELIJAH MUHAMMAD.
As Brother Min. Saleem Shah said, come on home.
